Well, let’s start out with a category NY is known for…PIZZA. Freddie and Peppers has some of the best. Just today I had a slice of Chicken Tex Mex pizza that was mind blowing. It was topped with bacon, chicken, cheddar, mozzarella, jalapeños, and salsa sauce. It’s pricey at 4.50 a slice but well worth it.
Now what I REALLY go to this spot for is their Meatball Parms seen here. It is hands down one of the best I have ever eaten. If you love meatball parms, I highly recommend you feast on one of these. At a price under 7 bux (for manhattan) you really can’t go wrong. You WILL love it. I promise.
This is a cash only establishment so hit up the ATM before you come in.

  • Question: I hear there's really no bad place in NYC to get a slice of pizza, but tell me, where are the absolute BEST slices in New York City or Brooklyn? - Anonymous
  • Answer:

On of the best pizza joints I know of is Freddie and Peppers. It’s on Amsterdam ave. I was just about to write about it. Check it out. Real crazy slices and one of the best meatball parms I have ever had.

Greetings visitor,

This is where I will be writing about places around New York City. Locations will range from places to eat, shop, and lounge. I was born and raised in New York. I love helping people find places to go and see things tourist books don’t know about or care to share. Sure you can see one of a hundred buildings and structures with decades of history, but I want to take you deeper. I want to take you into the crevices of the streets and open you up to places usually only discovered by word of mouth or hard core research.

My main focus will be Manhattan itself. Then some locations in the boroughs. I am however, open to suggestions of places to check out and write about. So this is where you come in. Once you get the idea of what I do here, feel free to leave a message here or via twitter and I will do my best to check out your favorite spots as well.

Again, my main goal is to open up your mind. If I can help out the local businesses in the process, that’s cool too. There is plenty of glitz and glamour in this city, you won’t find any of that here. Thanks for stopping by. Come again, come often, and tell your friends.
